DESCRIPTION
The lake belongs to a middle-depth reservoirs group. Almost everywhere coastline is low, swamped or sandy. On the east there are several stretched eskers up to 30 meters high above sea level.
The lake belongs to the river Druika system. 14 other lakes (the biggest – Severny Voloso and Uzhnoe Voloso) flow into it.
Water influx in the lake is fulfilled by streams and small rivers (13) most of which dry out annually. The main outflow from Snudy lake is made through the wide straight connecting Snudy and Struso lakes.
Ichthyology fauna
Currently there are 22 fish species in the lake: bream, zander, pike, eel, ide, white grass carp, perch, roach, white bream, tench, silver crucian, golden crucian, carp, burbot, vendace, rudd, bleak, ruff, gudgeon, spined loach, snetok. Four of them are introduced: eel, carp, silver crucian, whitу grass carp. Two species that inhabit the lake are registered in the Red Book of the Republic of Belarus – vendace and snetok.
